99 Jeep Cherokee with 199370 miles and a lot of work has been done to it over the past two-three years. The tray up front can hold two tubs and two trays of mail almost perfectly. Here is a list of parts that have been worked on/replaced over the past couple of years:
Torque converter – Very New, only 50 or so miles on it, $1400 went into this.
Power Steering – Almost 2000 bucks into this. The pump, steering box, the return lines, and a lot of time from the mechanic fixing this issue.
Cooling system – Radiator along with the lines (which are expensive being RHD) and water pump were replaced about 15k miles ago.
Tires – Very little wear + 10 ply. Three tires are dextero from walmart while the front right is from firestone. Spare is good enough to finish the route if you have to use it. Tires were recently balanced at the firestone dealer.
Synthetic Oil – Under 20 miles used, regularly changed.
Brake pads – New, probably around 100-150 miles on them, no route run with them yet
Battery + alternator – About a year of wear
Flashers – Fixed the flash relay signal fairly recently
Wipers – Checked out well under a recent storm.
Headlights – Working well
Suspension / Undercarriage – Various ball bearings, front two u-joints, the tracking rod, and the steering stabilizer have been replaced.
Here is the list of things that could be problems in the future:
Wiring/wiring harness – mechanic stated this could be ok for a while or it could be shot in smaller time frame. I guess it depends on the roughness of the route.
A/C – I’ve refilled this and there is a leak in the line somewhere if you really want it. You will also need a radiator fan.
Battery – Should be good for another year or two.
Just asking $4,500 OBO. Most of the parts off this thing could be sold right now to get that kind of money. Unfortunately with two jobs I can’t really deliver it so it will have to be for pick up somewhere in the texas panhandle.
